From the Heart Stamps Inspiration

Hi everyone - back for another weekly challenge and inspiration post!

I had so much fun coloring this lil guy. I use to be so afraid to use my couple of Copics that I had originally. At first I found them a bit intimidating and just gave up for awhile. Then I decided to give them another try. After a lot of playing I was starting to get better, but wasn't just quite there. Coloring NUMEROUS images before I actually had one that I "sorta" liked.

Since then, I have taken a Copic beginners class and am really starting to feel more at ease w/the Copics. I am still not perfect at it, but I have come along way.

This weeks sketch

Well, gotta run. We had some new window installed today in our home and my house still looks like a bomb went off in it....LOL!!

Hope you join us for our weekly challenge.

Weekly Inspiration @ From The Heart Stamps

Thanks for joining us again for another weekly inspiration post at

Not sure about you, but up here in WI we have had a "weird" winter. We actually had no snow for Christmas, but snow for Thanksgiving. Only 3 "named" snowstorms (more than 3" of accumulation) and warm & frigid temps.

That's why I thought this image would be cute for a card this week!
You just never know what winter is going to bring!

Its kind of hard to see, but the layer underneath the brown is actually a textured paper. And I got 2 of the 4 colors in the colors as well!

And who could resist this cute lil guy!!! If you joined the challenge in December, you will receive Little Snowman via email. If you missed out, you can still play along with the challenge by purchasing the image. I thought this image would be great for paper piecing. I actually "double" paper pieced his scarf & hat. Instead of just the 1 layer of patterned paper, I used 2, to give it a little more depth.
